Program Description

Program Description: Centralia Beauty College is more than a beauty school; they are business dedicated to teaching the techniques of cosmetology while building community relationships that allow students to reach their highest potential through hands-on experience. Students are instructed on current styles, trends, and creative techniques in the art of beauty and industry preparedness.

• Cosmetology sessions run Tuesday through Friday 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm and 8:30 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, with Saturday attendance mandatory.

• Summer Hours: Tuesday through Saturday 8:30-5:00**

Please Note: This is a 15 to 18 month commitment. Students must have their own transportation as this is an off-site program. It is strongly recommended that students are at least 17 years of age and a Junior or Senior in high school.

2021-2022 Cosmetology School Year Calendar

High School Equivalency Credits: Students earn 3.0 credits per year allocated as 1.0 Lab Science, 1.0 Career Technical Education, 1.0 Elective. See how these credits satisfy graduation requirements in the Program of Study.

College Credits: Credits available through Clover Park Technical College: up to 19 credits

Students who successfully complete the program and meet the college grading requirements, will be eligible to apply.

Certifications: This program provides 1640 hours necessary to take the Washington State Board Exam for certification (a $250 fee).

Career Pathways: Customer Service, Barber, Manicurist, Esthetician, Salon Owner/Operator, Make-Up Artist/Specialist, Hair Stylist, Cosmetologist, Cosmetology Instructor, Permanent Cosmetics 

Course Fee: $150 (paid to Centralia Beauty College)
